[25] “To whom will you compare me? Or who is my equal?” says the Holy One.
[26] Lift up your eyes and look to the heavens: Who created all these? He who brings out the starry host one by one and calls forth each of them by name. Because of his great power and mighty strength, not one of them is missing.
[27] Why do you complain, Jacob? Why do you say, Israel, “My way is hidden from the Lord; my cause is disregarded by my God”?
[28] Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom.
[29] He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.
[30] Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall;
[31] but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

[26] Look at the night skies： Who do you think made all this? Who marches this army of stars out each night, counts them off, calls each by name --so magnificent! so powerful!-- and never overlooks a single one?
[27] Why would you ever complain, O Jacob, or, whine, Israel, saying, "GOD has lost track of me. He doesn't care what happens to me"?
[28] Don't you know anything? Haven't you been listening? GOD doesn't come and go. God lasts. He's Creator of all you can see or imagine. He doesn't get tired out, doesn't pause to catch his breath. And he knows everything, inside and out.
[29] He energizes those who get tired, gives fresh strength to dropouts.
[30] For even young people tire and drop out, young folk in their prime stumble and fall.
[31] But those who wait upon GOD get fresh strength. They spread their wings and soar like eagles, They run and don't get tired, they walk and don't lag behind.

[29] 피곤한 사람에게 힘을 주시며, 기운을 잃은 사람에게 기력을 주시는 분이시다.
[30] 비록 젊은이들이 피곤하여 지치고, 장정들이 맥없이 비틀거려도,
[31] 오직 주님을 소망으로 삼는 사람은 새 힘을 얻으리니, 독수리가 날개를 치며 솟아오르듯 올라갈 것이요, 뛰어도 지치지 않으며, 걸어도 피곤하지 않을 것이다.

하나님을 바라보는 능력
[반추/rumination]
하나님의 자녀로서 당신은 하나님을 바라보며 살고 있습니까?
이사야 선지자가 활동하던 때의 하나님의 백성들은 우상을 바라보느라 마음이 기갈되어 있었습니다. 이사야는 그들로 하여금 하늘을 바라보게 하고 그들이 바르게 생각하도록 돕습니다.
이사야가 하늘을 바라보라고 한 것은 그 자연을 만드신 하나님을 바라보라는 뜻입니다. 신자에게 자연은 성스러운 것입니다. 하나님의 자녀로서 신자는 자연안에는 엄청난 보물을 발견합니다.
바람이 불 때마다, 매일의 밤과 낮, 하늘의 모든 별들, 꽃들이 피고 지는 상황 가운데서, 마음을 열고 자연을 바라보는 신자는 친히 자신에게 다가오시는 하나님을 체험할 수 있습니다.
Nature to a saint is sacramental. If we are children of God, we have a tremendous treasure in Nature. In every wind that blows, in every night and day of the year, in every sign of the sky, in every blossoming and in every withering of the earth, there is a real coming of God to us if we will simply us.
영적 집중력
영적 집중력이란 자신의 상상력을 바로 잡아서 마음을 한곳에 모으는 것입니다. 신자는 영적 집중력을 가지고 하나님을 바라보는 자입니다.
자신이 지금 무엇을 바라보고 있는지를 살펴보십시오.
-당신의 마음이 우상을 바라보는 것은 아닙니까?
- 당신 자신이 우상은 아닙니까?
-당신의 일이 우상입니까?
-’사역은 어떠해야 한다’는 사상적 우상에 빠진 것은 아닙니까?
-당신의 구원과 거룩의 경험이 우상은 아닙니까?
우상에 빠져 있다면 하나님을 향한 마음이 기갈된 것입니다. 이러한 경우 어려움이 오면 이길 힘이 없기 때문에 어둠 가운데 머물게 됩니다. 지금 당신에게 필요한 당신의 경험을 돌아보는 것이 아니라 하나님을 바라보는 것입니다.
자신에게 얽매이지 말고 자유하십시오.
우상으로 부터 멀어지십시오.
당신의 마음을 갉아먹는 어떤 것도 허락하지 마십시오.
스스로 일으켜 세우고 이사야가 백성들에게 주었던 내용을 붙드십시오.
마음을 다해 당신의 마음을 주께로 향하게 하십시오.
중보기도가 필요한 이유
기도가 막히는 이유는 기도할 생각이 없기 때문입니다. 마음을 다해 하나님께 자신을 집중시킬 힘이 없기 때문입니다. 그러므로 누군가를 돕는 신자는 사람을 직접 만나는 것도 좋지만, 그들을 위해 중보기도하면서 자신이 ‘찢겨진 빵과 부어지는 포도주’가 되는 법을 배워야 합니다.
하나님께서 신자가 기도할 때 강한 마음을 주셔서 이전에는 몰랐던 새로운 인격적인 관계에 들어가게 됩니다. 그러므로 서로 서로 기도를 부탁하고 서로를 위해 중보기도함으로 하나님을 바라보는 능력을 회복하여야 합니다.

예수 그리스도는 오해를 받을 수 있지만 우리는 오해를 받을 수 없습니다(인간은 오해를 받는 것이 아니라 그저 죄성으로 가득한 모습이 드러날 뿐!). 우리의 약점은 항상 자신을 변호하고 싶어 하는 데 있습니다.
