「61」 Aware that his disciples were grumbling about this, Jesus said to them, “Does this offend you?
「62」 Then what if you see the Son of Man ascend to where he was before!
「63」 The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you - they are full of the Spirit and life.
「64」 Yet there are some of you who do not believe.” For Jesus had known from the beginning which of them did not believe and who would betray him.
「65」 He went on to say, “This is why I told you that no one can come to me unless the Father has enabled them.”
「66」 From this time many of his disciples turned back and no longer followed him.
「67」 “You do not want to leave too, do you?” Jesus asked the Twelve.
「68」 Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.
「69」 We have come to believe and to know that you are the Holy One of God.”
「70」 Then Jesus replied, “Have I not chosen you, the Twelve? Yet one of you is a devil!”
「71」 (He meant Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot, who, though one of the Twelve, was later to betray him.)”

「63」 The Spirit can make life. Sheer muscle and willpower don't make anything happen. Every word I've spoken to you is a Spirit-word, and so it is life-making.
「64」 But some of you are resisting, refusing to have any part in this." (Jesus knew from the start that some weren't going to risk themselves with him. He knew also who would betray him.)
「65」 He went on to say, "This is why I told you earlier that no one is capable of coming to me on his own. You get to me only as a gift from the Father."
「66」 After this a lot of his disciples left. They no longer wanted to be associated with him.
「67」 Then Jesus gave the Twelve their chance： "Do you also want to leave?"
「68」 Peter replied, "Master, to whom would we go? You have the words of real life, eternal life.
「69」 We've already committed ourselves, confident that you are the Holy One of God."
「70」 Jesus responded, "Haven't I handpicked you, the Twelve? Still, one of you is a devil!"
「71」 He was referring to Judas, son of Simon Iscariot. This man--one from the Twelve!--was even then getting ready to betray him.”

「65」 예수께서 또 말씀하셨다. "그러므로 내가 너희에게 이르기를, 아버지께서 허락하여 주신 사람이 아니고는 아무도 나에게로 올 수 없다고 말한 것이다."
「66」 이 때문에 제자 가운데서 많은 사람이 떠나갔고, 더 이상 그와 함께 다니지 않았다.
「67」 예수께서 열두 제자에게 물으셨다. "너희까지도 떠나가려 하느냐?"
「68」 시몬 베드로가 대답하였다. "주님, 우리가 누구에게로 가겠습니까? 선생님께는 영생의 말씀이 있습니다.
「69」 우리는, 선생님이 하나님의 거룩한 분이심을 믿고, 또 알았습니다."
「70」 예수께서 그들에게 대답하셨다. "내가 너희 열둘을 택하지 않았느냐? 그러나 너희 가운데서 하나는 악마이다."

예수님과 동행하는 삶을 위해
[반추/rumination : " 너희까지도 떠나가려 하느냐” - 주님의 짧은 질문이지만 신자의 가장 깊은 곳을 임하는 말씀입니다.
신자는 어떤 상황에서도 절대로 주를 놓치지 않겠다는 단호한 자세를 유지해야 합니다. (요 6:66, 새번역) “이 때문에 제자 가운데서 많은 사람이 떠나갔고, 더 이상 그와 함께 다니지 않았다.” 여기서 사람들은 주님과의 동행을 멈춘 것이지 죄에 빠진 것은 아닙니다. 단지 주님으로부터 물러난 것입니다.
오늘날 많은 사람들이 예수 그리스도를 위해 수고하고 희생하지만 주님과 동행하지는 않습니다. 하나님께서 신자에게 꾸준히 원하시는 단 한가지는, 신자가 주와 함께 언제나 하나가 되는 것입니다.
거듭나서 거룩하게 된 이후 애써야 할 영적인 훈련이란 바로 이러한 하나됨을 유지하는 것입니다. 만일 당신이 하나님께서 당신에게 원하시는 것을 분명히 깨달았다면, 어떤 특별한 방법으로 그 관계를 스스로 유지하려 하지 말고 오직 예수 그리스도만을 온전하게 의지하는 가운데 자연스런운 삶을 살아가야 합니다.
하나님께서 말씀하신 방법 외에 다른 방법으로 하나님과 함께 하는 삶을 살려고 하지 마십시오. 하나님의 방식은 그분께 절대적으로 헌신하는 것을 의미합니다. 앞에 놓인 불확실성에 대해 걱정하지 않는 것이 예수님과 동행하는 비결입니다.
베드로는 예수님 안에서 자신과 세상을 구원할 분만을 보았습니다. 우리 주님은 우리가 그분과 멍에를 함께 메는 동역자가 되기를 원하십니다.
70절: 예수님은 베드로의 큰 부족에 응답하십니다. 우리는 다른 사람을 위해 대답할 수 없습니다.
