[10] 너는 이 백성의 마음을 둔하게 하여라. 그 귀가 막히고, 그 눈이 감기게 하여라. 그리하여 그들이 볼 수 없고, 들을 수 없고 또 마음으로 깨달을 수 없게 하여라. 그들이 보고 듣고 깨달았다가는 내게로 돌이켜서 고침을 받게 될까 걱정이다."
[11] 그 때에 내가 여쭈었다. "주님! 언제까지 그렇게 하실 것입니까?" 그러자 주님께서 대답하셨다. "성읍들이 황폐하여 주민이 없어질 때까지, 사람이 없어서 집마다 빈 집이 될 때까지, 밭마다 모두 황무지가 될 때까지,
[12] 나 주가 사람들을 먼 나라로 흩어서 이 곳 땅이 온통 버려질 때까지 그렇게 하겠다.
[13] 주민의 십분의 일이 아직 그 곳에 남는다 해도, 그들도 다 불에 타 죽을 것이다. 그러나 밤나무나 상수리나무가 잘릴 때에 그루터기는 남듯이, 거룩한 씨는 남아서, 그 땅에서 그루터기가 될 것이다."

[1] In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord, high and exalted, seated on a throne; and the train of his robe filled the temple.
[2] Above him were seraphim, each with six wings: With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they were flying.
[3] And they were calling to one another: “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory.”
[4] At the sound of their voices the doorposts and thresholds shook and the temple was filled with smoke.
[5] “Woe to me!” I cried. “I am ruined! For I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips, and my eyes have seen the King, the Lord Almighty.”
[6] Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with tongs from the altar.
[7] With it he touched my mouth and said, “See, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away and your sin atoned for.”
[8] Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”
[9] He said, “Go and tell this people: “‘Be ever hearing, but never understanding; be ever seeing, but never perceiving.’
[10] Make the heart of this people calloused; make their ears dull and close their eyes.Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts, and turn and be healed.”
[11] Then I said, “For how long, Lord?” And he answered: “Until the cities lie ruined and without inhabitant, until the houses are left deserted and the fields ruined and ravaged,
[12] until the Lord has sent everyone far away and the land is utterly forsaken.
[13] And though a tenth remains in the land, it will again be laid waste. But as the terebinth and oak leave stumps when they are cut down, so the holy seed will be the stump in the land.”

[7] He touched my mouth with the coal and said, "Look. This coal has touched your lips. Gone your guilt, your sins wiped out."
[8] And then I heard the voice of the Master： "Whom shall I send? Who will go for us?" I spoke up, "I'll go. Send me!"
[9] He said, "Go and tell this people： "'Listen hard, but you aren't going to get it; look hard, but you won't catch on.'
[10] Make these people blockheads, with fingers in their ears and blindfolds on their eyes, So they won't see a thing, won't hear a word, So they won't have a clue about what's going on and, yes, so they won't turn around and be made whole."
[11] Astonished, I said, "And Master, how long is this to go on?" He said, "Until the cities are emptied out, not a soul left in the cities-- Houses empty of people, countryside empty of people.
[12] Until I, GOD, get rid of everyone, sending them off, the land totally empty.
[13] And even if some should survive, say a tenth, the devastation will start up again. The country will look like pine and oak forest with every tree cut down-- Every tree a stump, a huge field of stumps. But there's a holy seed in those stumps."

누가 주님의 부르시는 음성을 듣는가?
주님의 부르심(calling)에 응답하는 자는 다름 아닌 예수 그리스도를 통해 하나님과의 관계 속에 들어가 자신들의 성향이 바뀌고 귀가 열리고 언제나 들려오는 세밀한 주의 음성을 들은 자들이다.
하나님은 특정한 사람만을 따로 불러 사명을 주시지 않으신다. 또한 하나님은 강압적으로 요구하지 않으신다.
다른 길은 없습니다.

이사야는 하나님의 면전에서 그 부름을 듣고 의식적인 자유 속에서 "내가 여기 있으니 나를 보내소서"라고 말하는 것 외에는 다른 방법이 없다는 것을 깨달았습니다.
하나님께서 어떤 신자에게 따로 찾아와 강요하거나 특별한 부탁을 할 것이라는 생각은 내려놓아야 합니다.
예수님은 제자들을 부르실 때도 이사야를 부를 실 때와 같은 모습이었습니다. 예수님은 강요하지 않았고, 제자들은 강요받지 않았습니다. 예수님은 단지 “나를 따라 오너라” 라고 하십니다.
신자가 성령을 통하여 하나님을 가까이 뵙는다면, 신자도 완전한 자유함 가운데 살아있는 헌신을 말할 수 있게 됩니다. “주님 제가 여기 있습니다. 저를 보내 주소서”라고 말입니다.

The Lord's call is for all people, not just one in particular
God doesn't call Isaiah directly, but rather to all followers of Jesus, asking, "Who will go in our place?"
Some answer the call, but many don't.(Mt 22:14, NIV11) "For many are invited, but few are chosen."(Mt 22:14, MSG) "That's what I mean when I say, 'Many get invited; only a few make it.'"
Who hears the Lord's calling?
Those who respond to the Lord's calling are none other than those who have entered into a relationship with God through Jesus Christ, whose disposition has been changed, whose ears have been opened, and who hear the ever-present, small voice of the Lord.God does not single out anyone for a mission, and He does not force anyone to do it.
There is no other way.

We need to let go of the idea that God will come to any believer individually and force them or ask them to do something special.
Jesus was the same way when he called his disciples as he was when he called Isaiah: he didn't force himself on them, and they didn't force themselves on him; he just said, "Follow me."
When a believer sees God intimately through the Holy Spirit, he or she is in complete freedom to speak a living commitment. "Lord, here I am. Send me away."

*”주님, 하나님께 이사야 처럼 더 가까이 나아가게 하소서. 그리하여 제가 주님의 거룩함과 사랑으로 울려퍼저 세상으로 전해지는 그 음성, 어쩌면 주님을 따르는 신자라면 누구라도 들 을 수 있는 하나님의 Calling을 듣고 성령의 도움으로 응답하게 하소서 . 오늘도 주님의 뜻을, 주님의 음성을, 주님의 부르심을 듣게 하소서. 그리고 이사야처럼, 수많은 믿음의 사람처럼, 저를 써달라고 고백하게 하소서”*"Lord, draw me closer to you, like Isaiah, so that I may hear your call, that voice that resounds with your holiness and love and reaches out to the world, perhaps even to any believer who follows you, and respond with the help of your Holy Spirit.
